Investigating the therapeutic effects of curcumin on inflammation and symptoms of PCOS
Taken from the Journal of reproduction & infertility -- In this research, 72 female adult rats were divided into PCOS-induced groups - control and curcumin-treated groups. After 60 days of PCOS-induction, ovaries were collected for evaluation. The study showed a significant decrease in inflammatory markers, such as CRP, in groups treated with curcumin compared with control groups. Furthermore, the study indicates that raising the amount of curcumin will lead to a decrease in ovarian cysts and also an increase in the number of corpus luteum, which marks the beginning of ovulation.
